About Us
Santa Barbara Flower Essences produces flower essences from plants grown organically and in co-creation with nature in the beautiful foothills of Santa Barbara along the central coast of California. Our climate is one of five unique Mediterranean regions on the planet with mild rainy winters and hot dry summers, tempered here on the coast by the ocean and the moist marine air. This area supports a diverse native flora as well as many exotic and rare imported plant and tree species. It is an ideal climate for growing herbs and flowers year round. Our essences have a special focus on the herbs.
Becky Witt has been happy in the healing presence of plants from her earliest years as a young child in Michigan. She lived in the countryside next to a lake and across the road from what she called the Forest – a magical place. Living in Santa Barbara for the past 38 years, she has been using flower essences since she first heard of them and has been making them for the past nine years. A full-time mother for many years, she now loves sharing the healing energies of nature with you.
Each Santa Barbara Flower Essence concentrate is made by combining drops of the mother essence with pure vitalized water, premium vodka for preservation, and a natural pear flavoring. Each bottle is hand-painted with its flower and mailed with a description of the essence and directions for usage. Individual essence concentrates come in 1oz. dropper bottles, which can be used as is or combined with other essences to create blends.
